In the words of Jean Luc Godard, "Cinema is the most beautiful fraud in the world" for its ability to capture the essence of reality without truly being real. Good films are those that allow their viewers to lose track of the fact that what they are watching is fabricated, and that, perhaps, is why they are so extraordinary.

As 2019 saw Quinten Tarantio debut Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as a love letter to the history of cinema, the Cinema Scoop is my ongoing passion project to praise the films, directors, and characters, that have allowed me to forget that I was watching a film in the first place.
